Plan mode

When a request is vague, Vacarme proposes a plan instead of guessing.

For a precise request ("post this on LinkedIn now"), your double acts directly. For a vague one ("help me grow my visibility"), guessing and launching a random task would be a poor use of your time — plan mode exists for that case.

How it works

  1. You describe a goal, not a specific action.
  2. Instead of launching a task on a guess, Vacarme proposes a short list of ideas — which channels, what kind of content, at what pace.
  3. This plan appears as a document in the browser panel, and is automatically saved to Documents — it never gets dumped as a wall of text in the chat.
  4. You reply in plain language: "go ahead", "launch idea 2 and 4", "launch the 3rd one but on LinkedIn instead". Vacarme creates and starts exactly the tasks you validated.
Nothing runs until you validate it. A proposed plan is a document to review, not a set of tasks already in motion.

Turning it on

A Plan toggle sits next to the Validation/Auto switch above the message box. When it's on, Vacarme always proposes a plan for anything beyond a single clear action — this preference is remembered between sessions.

Even with the toggle off, Vacarme can decide on its own to propose a plan when your request is too open-ended to act on safely. And even with the toggle on, a simple, unambiguous order still runs immediately — plan mode is there for genuinely vague requests, not as friction on clear ones.
